Lynhales Hall Nurses Shortlisted in the Hereford Times Health & Social Care Awards

Julie, Dora and Gemma at Lynhales Hall Nursing Home are finalists in the Hereford Times Health and Social Care Awards 2021. Julie has been shortlisted in the Dementia Carer category, Dora in the Care Trainer category, and Gemma in the Good Nurse category.

Julie has been nominated for her exemplary leadership and the support she gives to the whole team. Julie leads from the front and is always available. She ensures her staff are fully supported and puts their case forward to ensure they are front of thought for training and development and guarantees that their successes are celebrated.

Dora has been a leader at Lynhales for twenty years, and continually encourages staff to strive for excellence. She trains new nurses and has recently helped train nurses from the University of Worcester. Through her, staff gain a thorough understanding of high-quality person-centred care looks and feels like.

Gemma manages the JSMU (John Sperry Memorial Unit) at Lynhales Halls for those with varying types and stages of dementia. Caring and methodical, Gemma always gives 100% to whatever task she is undertaking and has a proactive, can-do, positive approach.

They eagerly anticipate the awards ceremony which will take place, albeit virtually, on Thursday 21st October 2021. Please join us in congratulating them and wishing them the best of luck.
