Care Assistants work as part of the team to provide individual care to each resident, making sure that everyone can retain as much dignity and independence as their situation allows. Under supervision, and within the limits of your own experience and knowledge, you will be involved in a wide range of duties and will play a very important role in creating a happy and caring environment. With responsibility for the delivery of care and for the supervision of others, the role of Registered Nurse is one which involves both the setting up, and continuation of, high standards in care. Registered Nurses have a key role to play in maintaining effective management of the home and of the staff within it, working closely with care assistants (including those performing night duties). This is a position with many responsibilities and the right candidate will want to be participate in, contribute to and bring their knowledge into, the many different aspects of care home operation.
