Our goals include themed nutritional training topics that effect the elderly in our care such as dysphagia, coeliac , high fibre recipes and sugar free cookery.
The team will be involved in collecting favourite recipes and choices from residents, families and staff and incorporate them into the seasonal menus, theme days and snacks.
It was suggested that we have a Recipe Box where residents, staff & families can put favourite recipes in there for the kitchen to try, this will go live this week!
Those at risk are monitored so the team will evaluate any concerns using the skills and experience of the managers, nurses, cooks and care members.
Residents and families will have an opportunity to receive tasters.
At the next meeting on Tues 8th March 2.00pm we will be having tasters to try of the soft options.
