The new fleet of minibuses are a key part of Rotherwood’s ongoing commitment to providing exceptional care and inspiring activities for its residents. The Vauxhall Vivario vehicles are designed to accommodate between six to eight residents, including wheelchair users, ensuring accessibility for all. The aim is that this will encourage participation in various outings and social activities outside of the care home environment, promoting a sense of independence for residents.
Tom Hutton, the Chief Finance Officer at Rotherwood, said:
“We are delighted to introduce these new minibuses which will enable our residents to enjoy meaningful trips and experience the wonderful surrounding areas in which our care homes are located. At Rotherwood, we are committed to enriching the lives of the older generation and these vehicles play a key role in achieving that mission.”
