Food has been at the heart of my life for almost 15 years. During that time, I’ve been fortunate to work in a wide variety of kitchens—from traditional country pubs to high-quality restaurants, including those with rosette recognition and Michelin-star experience. Each step has shaped my understanding of flavour, creativity, and hospitality.
However, joining Roden Hall brought a new and deeper meaning to my work.
Here, cooking isn’t about trends or attracting customers—it’s about people. It’s about creating meals for residents I’ve come to know and genuinely care about, and recognising just how important food is to their daily lives. A meal can bring comfort, spark memories, encourage conversation, and give someone something to look forward to. It can remind someone of home and bring people together in meaningful ways.
As Head Chef, my focus is on delivering high-quality, nutritious meals that are full of flavour and prepared with care. Dining should always feel like an experience—whether that’s through a well-loved traditional dish, a seasonal menu inspired by fresh ingredients, or special occasions such as steak nights that bring a real sense of enjoyment and anticipation.
Food plays a vital role in wellbeing, and I’m passionate about ensuring every resident enjoys meals that are both nourishing and enjoyable. We take time to understand individual preferences, dietary needs, and personal histories, so that each plate feels familiar, comforting, and thoughtfully prepared.
At Roden Hall, food is about more than what’s on the plate. It’s about creating a warm, welcoming environment where residents feel valued and cared for. Every meal is an opportunity to bring comfort, dignity, and joy to someone’s day.
I’m incredibly proud to be part of a team that places such importance on the dining experience. It’s a privilege to cook for our residents each day, creating moments that truly matter.
