Donations to Hereford Homeless Charity as Hampton Grange and Gwen Walford undergo Refurbishments

For Hampton Grange and Gwen Walford in the heart of Hereford, creating and maintaining luxurious surroundings for its residents is an important part of its mission.

To support the ever-evolving lifestyle needs of its residents, Hampton Grange and Gwen Walford are undergoing refurbishments. The ‘Blue Room’ at Hampton, which is currently used as day space, will be converted into a comfortable cinema room, where Hollywood classics and old TV favourites will be showcased to provide relaxation and nostalgia for its residents.

Gwen Walford is undergoing bathroom improvements. New flooring will be installed throughout both homes and all corridors are being freshly painted before work begins on a phased redecoration of all bedrooms.

Essential to providing a luxurious and homely feel, the homes will have new curtains and furniture, whilst the old soft furnishings have been donated to the ‘Friends of Hope Scott House’ in Hereford which provides support for former homeless men.

As the weather warms, a kitchen garden will be created for residents to enjoy during the Summer months, offering residents to take part in gardening activities as a powerful therapeutic tool.

Louise Craddock, the Home Manager, said:
“We were honoured to donate our soft furnishings to the homeless charity and help others in need. We’re excited to have the refurbishment underway and look forward to its completion which will further enrich the lives of our residents”.

Operated by Rotherwood Healthcare, Hampton Grange provides Nursing and Dementia Care whilst Gwen Walford provides Residential and Nursing Care. To find out more, visit www.hamptongrange.care or www.gwenwalford.care
