Residents and staff at Roden Hall Care Home in Telford are celebrating a heartwarming reunion as two sisters, Olive, aged 94, and Jesse, aged 105, are once again living together under the same roof.

Beloved Roden Hall resident Olive has called the care home her home for nearly two years. Recently, the dedicated Lifestyle Team at Roden Hall arranged for Olive to visit her sister Jesse, who had been living alone in Dawley with support from her carers. The visit was a joyful occasion but also a poignant one, as Olive was deeply concerned about her sister’s circumstances. During the visit, Olive passionately encouraged Jesse to join her at Roden Hall, sharing how the home offers a wonderful, supportive environment with exceptional care.

Thanks to the collaborative efforts of Roden Hall’s Home Manager, Rebecca Jones, and the sisters’ family, Jesse has now moved into Roden Hall. The reunion has brought immense joy to both the sisters and their family.

Rebecca Jones, Home Manager at Roden Hall Care Home, shared her thoughts:
“It has been truly heartwarming to witness Olive and Jesse reunited here at Roden Hall. Their bond is incredibly special, and it’s a privilege to see them enjoying their time together again. Our team worked closely with their family to ensure Jesse’s transition was smooth, and we’re thrilled to have her join our community. Moments like this remind us why we do what we do.”

The sisters are now relishing their days together, sharing stories, laughter, and companionship. The reunion has been a source of happiness for everyone at Roden Hall, embodying the care home’s ethos of fostering a sense of family and belonging.
