Rotherwood Healthcare is excited to announce its event on Friday 27th September that aims to bring together residents, families, and the wider community in celebration of the autumn season. In the spirit of generosity and community, Rotherwood will be hosting Harvest Festival Celebrations across their care homes whilst also fundraising for MacMillan Cancer Support.

As providers of award-winning Residential, Nursing, and Dementia Care across Herefordshire, Worcestershire, and Shropshire, Rotherwood have long been committed to enriching the lives of their residents and supporting their local communities. This year’s Harvest Festival is set to be a vibrant occasion filled with joy, community spirit, and delightful autumnal activities. The Harvest Festival is a cherished tradition at Rotherwood, providing a day for residents, families, and the community to come together and celebrate the bountiful season. With many residents and their families having agricultural backgrounds, the festival holds special significance, reminding us of the hard work it takes to grow crops and the joy of reaping what we sow. This celebration will not only honour this tradition but also help those in need through food bank donations. Each care home will be collecting donations throughout September.

As part of the Harvest Festival, Rotherwood will be holding coffee and cake sessions across care homes to raise funds for MacMillan Cancer Support. Attendees are invited to spend time indulging in delicious cakes and baked goods, sipping on freshly brewed coffee, and enjoying good company —all while supporting a cause that is close to the hearts of many.

The event schedule across our homes is as follows:

Roden Hall, Roden, Shropshire: The day will begin at 10:00am with a MacMillan coffee morning, joined by an afternoon of singing and entertainment from Paul Watkins, delicious refreshments, and heartwarming harvest festivities from 2:00pm.
