National Care Awards, with finalists recognised across three different categories.
Lynhales Hall – Care Home of the Year
Lynhales Hall has been named a finalist for Care Home of the Year, recognising the care and support provided to residents and their families.
Families have praised the kindness, patience and genuine warmth shown by staff, with one describing the team as having “limitless patience”, while another highlighted their “care, professionalism and warmth”.
The nomination reflects the commitment of the Lynhales Hall team to providing high-quality, person-centred care and creating an environment where residents and their families feel supported.
Jack Eccleston – Care Chef of the Year
At Roden Hall, Head Chef Jack Eccleston is a finalist for Care Chef of the Year, recognised for the creativity and thought he brings to mealtimes.
Jack works closely with residents to develop seasonal menus and regularly introduces themed evenings and special treats, including homemade blackberry ice cream made using fruit picked by residents.
Alongside the creativity, Jack takes time to understand individual dietary needs and preferences, ensuring everyone can enjoy the dining experience.
Pete Davis – Carer of the Year
At Dorset House, Pete Davis is a finalist for Carer of the Year, recognised for the relationships he builds with residents and their families.
His patience, humour and compassion are reflected in his everyday approach to care, while his willingness to go the extra mile has seen him accompany residents to hospital and provide support to families during difficult moments.
Pete’s nomination celebrates the difference that this personal approach can make to residents and those closest to them.

The winners will be announced at the National Care Awards ceremony at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London on Friday 6 November.
