The Dorset House grounds certainly had a tropical-feel with the sea of colourful paper fans, pompoms, garlands and inflatable palm trees decorating the gardens. Staff members were suitably dressed in tropical shirts, flower garlands, and grass skirts, and not to miss out on all of the fun, residents donned Mexican sombreros and bright paper chains.
As with any event at Dorset House, Chefs Marion and Karen were on hand to prepare a delicious spread of food. Residents were seated outside to socialise while tucking into their barbecued food, marinated with rich Caribbean flavours.
Lifestyle Coordinator, Lisa, said:
"Our residents thoroughly enjoyed a taste of the Caribbean here in sunny Droitwich! We had a marvellous day of food and laughter! It was great to bring our residents together outdoors to socialise and celebrate the Summer sunshine." Dorset House offers award-winning Residential and Nursing Care.
