Bringing together care providers and service users from across Herefordshire, the picnic was arranged to raise awareness of social care, recognise the work of those employed in the care sector, and unite care users to enjoy a fun day out.
Lynhales Hall joined fellow Rotherwood Healthcare care homes, Hampton Grange and Gwen Walford, to enjoy picnic food in the Summer sunshine. Attendees took part in the world record attempt to photograph the most social care providers and users in a heart formation using a drone, for which 53 people took part.
Lifestyle Coordinator, Mary Ayles, said:
"The Picnic in the Park was a great opportunity to build relationships with the local care community and discuss the wonderful work we do! It was fantastic to see our residents socialising with residents from other homes, and is a reminder that people can still enjoy days out and meet new people while living in a care home".
