The award was presented at a special ceremony at Hereford Cathedral, following nominations from families of residents cared for by the team.
The John Sperry Memorial Unit, known as JSU, provides specialist care for residents with complex needs, including challenging behaviour and mental health conditions. The dedicated team is specially trained to provide consistent, personalised support, taking the time to understand each resident and build trusting relationships.
By working closely with families and understanding each resident’s individual needs, wishes and preferences, the team helps ensure residents feel valued, supported and understood.
