The home was filled with laughter and song as entertainer Paul Watkins delivered a lively springtime performance, encouraging everyone to join in with a cheerful singalong. The event created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, bringing together residents and their loved ones for a memorable day of togetherness.
Guests also enjoyed a creative crafting corner, where Easter eggs and bunnies were painted, alongside beautiful wooden keepsake flowers. Adding to the celebrations was a special display of artwork from the residents’ ‘Day in the Life’ project, showcasing unique pieces inspired by their favourite parts of life at Roden Hall.
A touching highlight of the day came when Dot and Ron from the home’s Public Knit and Natter group attended with their family, creating a lovely surprise for resident Ron, who has shared a long-standing friendship with them.
The celebrations were complemented by a wonderful picnic-style buffet prepared by Jack and the kitchen team, featuring sandwiches, smoked salmon ciabatta, homemade orzo, hummus, guacamole, cheese boards and a tempting selection of desserts, including much-enjoyed brownies.
The event was a fantastic way to welcome spring, reflecting the strong sense of community, friendship and creativity that makes life at
Roden Hall so special.
