Lots of people wearing red noses

Award-winning Shropshire based care homes, Roden Hall and St George’s Park, embraced the spirit of giving with their extraordinary Red Nose Day events on Friday, 15th March. The homes, located across Telford, opened their doors to a day filled with fun, laughter, and generosity, all in support of Comic Relief.

The festivities commenced early in the day, welcoming staff, residents, families, and members of the community to join in the celebration. Roden Hall and St. George’s Park went above and beyond to ensure a memorable occasion for all.
Roden Hall, renowned for its inspiring activities, delighted attendees with a mouthwatering bake sale. The talented Lifestyle Team, Karen and Mia, showcased their culinary expertise with an array of irresistible treats. From jammy dodgers to cherry bakewell tarts, every delicacy echoed the vibrant red theme of the day. Adding to the ambiance was the enchanting performance of singer Paul Watkins, whose melodious tunes filled the room with joy.
Meanwhile, at St Georges Park, staff and residents adorned themselves in vibrant costumes and red attire, adding to the spirit. Guests were treated to an assortment of red-themed cakes, including a remarkable four-layered masterpiece. The day culminated in a spellbinding magic show by the mesmerising Jack Dent, leaving everyone spellbound and in awe.
Cheryl Walne, Regional Manager at Rotherwood, expressed her delight at the overwhelming success of the events, stating, "We're thrilled with the successful turn-out of our Red Nose Day events. We would like to thank everyone who joined us, supported us, and donated to such a worthy cause."
The event not only brought joy and laughter but also raised vital funds for Comic Relief, contributing to their efforts in tackling poverty and social injustice around the world.
