The John Sperry Unit at Lynhales Hall Nursing Home in Herefordshire has marked its triumph at the Care Home Awards 2022 with a celebration at the home for its team members and residents.

The annual Care Home Awards recognise excellence and innovation in care home operations and management. Honoured with ‘Best for Specialist Care’, the John Sperry Unit provides exceptional specialist care for residents living with Dementia and other mental health conditions.

The care home grounds were decorated with a golden balloon arch from ‘The Balloon Shop Hereford’ while the staff members and residents enjoyed a selection of refreshments and cupcakes from local business, ‘Lara’s Bakery’.

Rebecca Ellsmore from the Kington Coop was in attendance and said:
“I am here to build links between the coop and the wider community. From all our members, we would like to say a huge congratulations on achieving this award and we look forward to working with Lynhales Hall Nursing Home more in the future.”

Regional Support Manager, Nick Brown, who gave a speech thanking staff members for their contribution, said:
“This award win is testament to the dedication of the care team working in the John Sperry Unit, who put the needs of residents at the heart of everything they do. We’re thrilled that the unit has been recognised for delivering superb specialist care, and we’re delighted to unite the team in celebration.”
