Set in seven acres of woodland close to the historic Herefordshire village of Lyonshall, Lynhales Hall care home built around a stunning, two-storey 16th Century Manor House is home for up to 64 residents.

The home includes the John Sperry Memorial Unit; a complex care facility offering exceptional nursing care for people with varying types and stages of dementia and other mental health conditions. The main house has many of its original features lovingly preserved with a grand reception room and unique bedrooms. There is a choice of rooms for relaxing and socialising.

Fayres, garden parties and walking events are often held within the grounds, allowing residents and their families to maintain community links – and enjoy a fantastic day out on their own doorstep.

In addition to catering to existing hobbies and interests, they organise a broad array of inclusive sessions, such as fruit tasting, gardening clubs, arts and crafts, flower arranging, and indulgent hand and arm massages for those seeking a bit of pampering! While residents make the most of their indoor time, our team is always on hand to assist them in enjoying leisurely strolls through the beautiful gardens or arranging outings using the home’s minibus for visits to the garden centre or a bit of shopping.

Fostering community connections is crucial to life at Lynhales Hall. Residents, staff, family, and friends actively participate in various local celebrations and charity events, such as the annual Alzheimer's walk.

At Lynhales Hall, we take pride in offering the Rotherwood Wellness Programme, a testament to our commitment to health and well-being. This programme, featuring daily exercise sessions, is part of our cutting-edge wellness initiative. It is specially designed around isometric fitness, a safe and low-impact exercise method that has been proven to enhance health and well-being.

Developed in partnership with expert wellness coaches and external professionals, our sessions are inclusive and adaptable to all fitness levels. Dinning at Lynhales Hall is very much a tailor-made experience. Our residents are given the freedom to choose how, where, and when they would like to eat. This ensures that mealtimes are as pleasurable as possible, even when medical conditions have to be taken into consideration.

If our residents choose to remain in their own room, join friends and family in the dining room or even eat ‘on the move’, then it can be catered for.

Whatever the individual wants and needs, staff make sure that they get a tasty and nutritious meal. Even where smaller portions are necessary, they’re fortified to ensure no goodness is lost – a hugely important detail.
