Bridging the gap between the Senior Carers and the fully qualified Nursing Team, the programme has broadened the staff’s skills in areas including administration and management; T34 Syringe Drivers; tissue viability, dressings, wounds, and pressure relief; dysphagia; enteral administration; stoma care; catheter care, insulin administration; as well as venepuncture and cannulation.
The training was completed by Gary Rees (Nurse Assistant at
Roden Hall); Rozina Maryam (Quality Assurance Officer at Roden Hall); Sarah Bullock (Nurse Assistant at
St George’s Park); Jan Waring (Nurse Assistant at St George’s Park); Jenny Peckham (Nurse Assistant at St George’s Park); and Angela Dallow (Senior Health Care Assistant at
Gwen Walford).
Cheryl Walne, the Regional Manager at Rotherwood Healthcare, said:
“ We have some wonderful members of staff across our homes who completed this training and have widened their skill set. I was thrilled to formally present the staff with their certificates. The programme further enhances our care delivery, and it is a credit to these individuals.”
