Gwen Walford Celebrates Finalists at Hereford Times Health and Social Care Awards

Lynhales Hall Nursing Home in Lyonshall and Gwen Walford Nursing Home in Hereford have announced they are finalists in the Hereford Times Health and Social Care Awards 2022. The annual awards recognise dedication and innovation in health and social care across Herefordshire.

Operated by Rotherwood Healthcare, the John Sperry Unit at Lynhales Hall is shortlisted for the ‘Mental Health Award’ while Gwen Walford House is up for ‘Care Home of the Year’. Oana Gidofalvi, the Clinical Lead at Gwen Walford, has been revealed as a finalist for the ‘Excellence in Nursing Award’. 
 
Vicky Craddock, Chief Operating Officer at Rotherwood Healthcare, said:
“It is an honour to see our homes recognised as finalists in these prestigious local awards. Each team member at Gwen Walford contributes to providing an excellent care home experience for our residents. The well-deserved nomination of Clinical Lead, Oana, is a nod to her outstanding commitment to person-centred care.”

Sponsored by the University of Worcester, the award winners will be unveiled in a black-tie event at the Three Counties Hotel in Hereford on 19th October with Rotherwood’s team members in attendance. 
 
Gwen Walford recently received a coveted ‘Top 20 Award’ with carehome.co.uk, ranking them in the top twenty rated care homes in the West Midlands. The John Sperry Unit at Lynhales Hall won ‘Best for Specialist Care’ at the Care Home Awards held in July.
