Lynhales Hall Care Home in Herefordshire and St George's Park Care Home in Shropshire are proud to announce their participation in The Happiness Programme, a groundbreaking initiative created by Social-Ability. This innovative programme aims to enhance the lives of people living with cognitive challenges through interactive light technology.

The Happiness Programme is a first-of-its-kind initiative designed to transform care settings by offering engaging, meaningful activities for residents and patients. Utilising cutting-edge interactive projectors, the programme projects light onto various surfaces such as tables, floors, ceilings, and even beds. As residents move their hands, arms, or feet through the projected light, the interactive games respond dynamically, creating a stimulating and immersive experience.

The interactive games available through The Happiness Programme are specifically tailored to meet the needs of individuals in care settings. These activities are designed to stimulate movement, foster social interaction, and enhance emotional well-being. From quizzes and immersive scenes to piano playing and word games, the programme offers a diverse range of activities that capture attention and engage participants in a fun and meaningful way.

Data from Social-Ability indicates that The Happiness Programme can reduce falls by 1 in 6 and improve nutrition and hydration in 1 in 5 participants. The positive impact of the programme is evident in the enthusiasm of the residents at Lynhales Hall and St George's Park, who are joyfully engaging with the new activities and embracing this innovative approach to care.

Residents at Lynhales Hall and St George's Park have already begun to experience the benefits of the programme. They have expressed immense joy and enthusiasm for the new activities, and staff members report noticeable improvements in engagement and overall well-being.

"We are thrilled to be part of The Happiness Programme," said Cheryl Walne, Regional Manager at Rotherwood. "Our residents have embraced the interactive light technology with great excitement, and it has truly brought a new level of fun and engagement to their daily routines."

Social-Ability is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals in care settings through innovative solutions. The Happiness Programme represents a significant step forward in creating more interactive and enjoyable experiences for residents with cognitive challenges.
