Luke Mammatt’s engaging talk about the characteristics and behaviours of owls mesmerised the residents, however, their true delight unfolded when they had the opportunity to hold and interact with the birds up-close, leaving them in awe of nature.
Nicky Thomas, the Lifestyle Coordinator and Hampton Grange and Gwen Walford commented:
“The wellbeing and happiness of our residents is central to what we do, and International Owl Day was an opportunity to provide an engaging and memorable activity. The residents were delighted to spend time outdoors holding the owls. Engaging activities like these are how we enrich the lives of our residents.”
