Lynhales Hall Nursing Home in Lyonshall welcomed pupils from Pembridge Church of England Primary School on 5th December. The year 4 and 5 children came to perform Christmas carols for the residents, many of whom are living with Dementia and other complex needs.

Everyone gathered in the Goodwin Lounge, which was adorned with paper snowflakes and angels, hand-crafted by the residents in the lead up to the festivities. Residents joined the children to sing traditional Christmas hymns before sharing a selection of fruit flavoured drinks and chocolates.

Mary Ayles, the Lifestyle Coordinator at Lynhales Hall, said:
“It’s great to bring together younger and older people for activities. It enhances the mood of our residents while children learn care and compassion. Residents had a wonderful time singing festive songs and were impressed by the children’s impeccable behaviour. We hope to invite them again during 2023.”
