Known for marking the Remembrance period in a big way every year, Hampton Grange and Gwen Walford in Hereford didn’t just stop with the war memorial ceremony this year, the homes also welcomed the star of ‘Who Dares Wins’, Billy Billingham, for Remembrance Sunday.

As a former SAS soldier, Mark ‘Billy’ Billingham, was honoured to see the ‘river of poppies’ at Hampton Grange and the ‘Statue of an Unknown Woman in War’ which was unveiled the week prior by a former Rotherwas Munitions worker. Billy met the Home Manager, Louise Craddock, before speaking to the residents, for whom the Remembrance period is a poignant reminder of childhood memories of wartime.

Operated by Rotherwood Healthcare, Hampton Grange provides Nursing and Dementia Care, whist Gwen Walford offers Residential and Nursing Care. To find out more, call 01432 272418 or visit www.rotherwood-healthcare.co.uk
