Louise Craddock, Home Manager of Hampton Grange and Gwen Walford, says:
“The Remembrance period is an extremely moving time for our residents. Every year we hand-craft a ‘river’ of poppies cascading out of the Hampton Grange building. This year, it will be a great honour to go one step further and welcome Nancy to unveil a Statue of Remembrance in our grounds for our residents to pay their respects”.
ROF Rotherwas in Herefordshire manufactured weapons and ammunition used by the British military during the First and Second World Wars. Women made up more than 77% of the workforce and 99-year-old Nancy worked at Rotherwas for five years during the Second World War.
