Tommy was born in 1921 and grew up in South Shields, where he lived for most of his life. Tommy met his wife while out dancing one evening and, he told us, it was love at first sight. Tommy married the love of his life, Agnes, in 1945 and was happily married for 64 years. Together they had two boys - Alan and Brian. Sadly, Agnes passed away 11 years ago.
Tommy trained as a joiner while working on ship building and he was also an active member of the Union of Ship Builders.
In the war years Tommy was part of the Home Guard and helped with the clear up in London after the Blitz. Tommy has many hobby's including loving to dance - as this photo clearly shows! Tommy also played bowls for the County and for South Shields and still enjoys a good chat as well as music and walking.
Tommy has come to Droitwich Spa to live near his son Brian and his wife Sue their and family and friends - all of whom are regular visitors to see Tommy.
